Teensy 4.1 (Headers)
Introducing the Teensy 4.1: a cutting-edge development platform with exceptional features. Powered by a 600MHz ARM Cortex-M7 processor and NXP iMXRT1062 chip, it offers four times more flash memory than its predecessor, along with two additional memory expansion options. With the same compact size as the Teensy 3.6 (2.4in x 0.7in), the Teensy 4.1 delivers enhanced I/O capabilities, including an ethernet PHY, SD card socket, and USB host port. Notably, this version comes with pre-attached headers, eliminating the need for soldering and enabling a quick start.
Running at 600 MHz, the Teensy 4.1 provides dynamic clock scaling and consumes approximately 100mA current. Unlike traditional microcontrollers, it seamlessly adjusts baud rates, audio streaming sample rates, and Arduino functions like delay() and millis() when the CPU speed changes. Additionally, the power shut-off feature allows complete disabling of the 3.3V power supply with a pushbutton, while the built-in RTC continues to track date and time when powered off. The Teensy 4.1 is even capable of overclocking well beyond 600MHz.
Equipped with the powerful ARM Cortex-M7 processor, this real-time microcontroller executes two instructions per clock cycle at 600MHz. Branch prediction optimizes loop execution, reducing overhead and enabling branch instructions to run in a single clock cycle. The Cortex-M7's Tightly Coupled Memory (TCM) feature facilitates fast, single-cycle access to memory through specialized buses, resulting in highly efficient input/output operations. The floating-point unit (FPU) integrated into the Teensy 4.1's Cortex-M7 processor supports both 64-bit "double" and 32-bit "float" data types, delivering hardware-accelerated performance for math-intensive tasks.
Experience the advanced capabilities of the Teensy 4.1, a versatile development platform that combines power, efficiency, and ease of use.
